"We chose the Westgate because it was off the strip, near the monorail and because Barry Manilow performs there. I also had stayed there happily many times over the years when it was the International and/or the Hilton. Upon arrival we were hit with a terrible smelling disinfectant that my local Goodwill uses. That smell and the cigarette smoke was awful. The overall look of the lobby area was run down. We were approached multiple times by timeshare hawkers was making us extremely irritated! On top of that we find out the pool is closed for the season, and that they don't have maid service! Unbelievable. Sadly, we likely won't stay here again. It was a disappointing experience."

"Have stayed here a handful of times and was just here in April 2025 and November 2025 for Thanksgiving week. They are definitely revamping their rooms. They offer "stay well" rooms... and this past year have completely done away with muni fridges, microwaves, and coffee maker!!! We've never really used it in the past. It was banking in using it this time! Sure enough its removed from amenities on the booking website. I get it, less to clean and maintenance is lower. Being "winter" the pools have been drained and I know it flooded a week or 2 prior to our arrival so maybe that is why it was drained. \n\nWe've never had a bad stay here. Staff is always friendly and accommodating when situations permit, concierge has been great. It is Close to the airport, or if traveling into Vegas, near Tacos El Gordo, Mandalay bay is a hop, skip and jump away.... as is the rest of the strip. We had booked 2 separate rooms and was accommodated with getting rooms side by side. \n\nMy hubby and I are MGM card holders so priority checkin and MGM rewards are a huge bonus for free and discounted rooms as well as discounts on restaurants. This time around we played the Blackjack tables and interacted with quite a few friendly dealers. We will more than likely be back and try one of the "stay well" rooms."
