Ocasio-Cortez has faced backlash after voting against a bill that sought to reduce funding for Israel's aerial defense system.

Besides repeatedly criticizing Israel's military campaign in Gaza and calling it "genocide," Ocasio-Cortez voted against an amendment to the defense spending bill on Friday. The amendment by Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene, R-Ga., would have removed funding for Israel's missile defense systems.
