The Philadelphia 76ers have a new star leading the team during the 2025-26 NBA season, and the former Kentucky star continues to show up for big moments as the Eastern Conference team look to compete amongst the league's elite teams.

Tyrese Maxey scored 20 of his 35 points in the third quarter, Andre Drummond had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Washington Wizards 121-102

Through 20 games, Maxey has the third-best scoring start in team history, with 649 points. That trails Allen Iverson (681 in 2005-06) and Wilt Chamberlain (661 in 1965-66). Maxey has 20 consecutive 20-point games to start the season. Only Iverson and Joel Embiid have accomplished that. Maxey’s 13 career 35-point games put him fifth in team history.
