Moody was ranked No. 23 in the latest polls, while Vestavia Hills came in at No. 6 and Central-Phenix City at No. 3.

Class 6A/7A fifth-ranked Alma Bryant rallied in the second half to beat No. 4 Auburn 20-13 at Irvington on Wednesday in the second round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association flag football state playoffs.

The second round of the Alabama high school flag football playoffs is underway and scores from across the AHSAA are rolling in. The playoffs kicked off last week with the opening round. The second round will wrap up with a few games Wednesday and one Thursday.

Alabama’s record is that of a playoff team, and so is its resumé. The results of the games themselves require a bit more convincing.  If this Crimson Tide team were on the dating market, we might be selling it on its personality rather than its looks.
