The Kansas City Chiefs are adding depth to their backfield, signing former Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce to the practice squad. The move, reported Sunday by NFL insider Jordan Schultz, offers a chance at redemption for a player who showed immense promise early in his career.
The Texans drafted Pierce in the fourth round out of Florida in 2022, and he had a strong start to his NFL career. As a rookie, he rushed for 939 yards and four touchdowns while adding 165 yards and a touchdown through the air, despite missing four games.
