Never Have I Ever star Poorna Jagannathan has been cast in a recurring role in Lanterns, HBO ’s upcoming drama series based on the Green Lantern comics from DC. The actress will join a strong cast that includes series regulars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, and Kelly Macdonald, as well as fellow recurring actor Garret Dillahunt.

Jagannathan, known for starring in critically-acclaimed shows such as "The Night Of" and "Never Have I Ever", will feature alongside previously announced cast members Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald and Garret Dillahunt.

According to the show’s official logline, Lanterns follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. The story will unfold over eight episodes that will air on HBO and stream on Max.

Jagannathan will have a recurring role as Zoe in the DC Comics adaptation, featuring alongside previously announced cast members Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald and Garret Dillahunt
