The slow-motion train wreck it’s running this week is reminiscent of alleged comedian Tony Hinchcliffe describing Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” at a Trump rally, a full-speed train wreck.

Kid Rock broke his silence on social media Thursday on the heels of he and Turning Point USA taking heat for the lyrics to his song “Cool, Daddy Cool.” Rock is scheduled to headline TPUSA’s Super Bowl LX “All-American Halftime Show” on Sunday in what is being billed as a Christian and family friendly alternative to the NFL’s halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.

The “All-American Halftime Show” comes amid conservative backlash to the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny as Super Bowl headliner.

“We’re simply gonna go play some great songs, like I’ve said for our base,” he continued. “People that love football, love America, love good music and love Jesus. It’s pretty much that simple.”
