Over 10 million YouTube TV subscribers just lost access to all Disney-owned networks, including ESPN and ABC. At midnight on Oct. 30, the distribution deal between Disney, which owns ESPN, ABC and numerous other networks, ended, and at present, there's no deal in place to keep the networks on the nation's most popular live TV streaming service.
Disney has had blackout disruptions on major providers in each of last two years, having an 11-day dispute with Charter in 2023 and a 13-day battle with DirecTV in 2024. There are a few other live TV streaming services offering great deals and channels that YouTube TV customers no longer have access to.
Walt Disney famously loved the Coachella Valley, and had his own private escape at Smoke Tree Ranch in Palm Springs. (The tie he would often wear on “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” shows had the Smoke Tree Ranch brand on it, and it’s the same tie he’s wearing on his statue in the hub at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.)
