"Dune: Prophecy," which premieres Sunday on HBO and Max, will follow the rise of the Bene Gesserit, the enigmatic group of women with supernatural power.

The "Dune" Universe is expanding on HBO. The latest installment in the sprawling sci-fi series - "Dune: Prophecy" - takes the story back 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides and looks at the early days of the Bene Gesserit and a galaxy still reeling from a war with the "thinking machines.

It dives into Bene Gesserit, the sci-fi epic's powerful and mysterious political force that have supernatural control over minds and bodies. Staring Emily Watson as Valya Harkonnen, leader of the order and Olivia Williams as her sister Tula,
