ESPN's Shams Charania first reported Wednesday that the Knicks were set to hire Brown as the replacement for Tom Thibodeau. On Saturday, SNY's Ian Begley reported that Brown and the Knicks agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal.

After a lengthy search, the New York Knicks are reportedly hiring Mike Brown to be their next head coach. Brown will replace Tom Thibodeau, who was fired in June despite leading the Knicks to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years.

Eventually, the Knicks went with a more traditional route and chose Mike Brown as their next coach. Brown won Coach of the Year with the Sacramento Kings in 2023 and could help take New York to the next level.
