Taco stand workers were pistol-whipped by a group of thieves in four back-to-back robberies across the South Bay area of Los Angeles.

Armed robbers made off with cash from four taco stands that were targeted in separate incidents overnight in the South Bay.

It was a violent night for street taco vendors in the South Bay overnight following four armed robberies all within an hour.

The first crime occurred at 11:42 p.m. Friday at Torrance Boulevard and Denker Avenue, near the city of Torrance. Two employees of a taco stand were assaulted and robbed by three men between the ages of 20 and 25, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department 's Media Relations Division.

During a series of back-to-back robberies targeting taco stands in LA's South Bay, three workers — all at different taco stands — were pistol-whipped across the face by a group of robbers demanding cash.
