Critics claim new tax grab will destroy family farms, which make up around two-thirds of Britain’s agricultural base

Hundreds of farmers, many in tractors, gathered in Wales on Saturday to protest against UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his government's decision to change inheritance tax rules for farms.

Sir Keir Starmer told the conference in Llandudno, Conwy, he would defend the Budget "all day long" for taking "tough decisions that were necessary to stabilise our economy". Dozens of tractors and farm vehicles were parked on the prom outside the conference being at Venue Cymru.
