Haseotes passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Palm Beach, Florida, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his children, family, and friends.

George Haseotes was a son of Cumberland Farms founders Vasilios Spiros and Aphrodite Bassis Haseotes, Greek immigrants who established a dairy farm in Cumberland, Rhode Island, in 1939.
