The first air taxis are being produced by firms such as Airbus, Uber and now -- Volocopter. An array of 18 helicopter-style rotors powered by batteries lift Volocopter's flying taxi, known as the "VoloCity," into the sky. The company says it can carry two passengers with hand luggage up to 35 kilometers (22 miles), at speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour. In Stuttgart, Germany, a new version of the "flying taxi" took off for a public test flight. (AFP) | Voice of America
